Energy Balancing Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine practiced today. It is based on the theory that there are energy channels within our bodies, called meridians, which carry life force or Qi. When these channels become blocked due to injury, illness, stress, or other causes, we may experience symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, etc.
This energy, Qi (pronounced chee), is created by the food we eat and the air we breathe. It circulates, rejuvenates and maintains these channels called meridians that travel to and from our head, and down into the hands and feet and are intertwined within as well. Qi circulates within these meridians to nourish every organ, tissue and cell of our body.
I describe this method as our acupuncture circulatory or nervous system. Because of all the different stressor in our lives, some sudden and some over time, our Qi become unbalanced which will cause the breakdown of our health if left untreated. Ironically depending on the specifics of the Qi and which meridian is affected will determine which symptom our body will manifest. For example; cough, allergies, pain, infertility, low energy, digestive, etc…
Yes, these common symptoms could be treated with acupuncture. In China, acupuncture and herbal medicine are the go to treatments for most common health concerns. It is safe, effective and should be a part of our health lifestyle. At the end of the day we must maintain our health and Energy Balancing Acupuncture is a phenomenal way to do that!
